Huestis Hall Basement Electrical Outage 12/07/21

UPDATE:  Power has been restored.

Begin:  Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at 7:00 am

End:      Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at 11:00 am

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  Huestis Hall basement

Scope:  As part of phase 1 of the Huestis Renovation project, power to electrical panel 2S3 in the Huestis basement will be shut down for 4 hours on December 7, 2021 for temporary power connections.

Services Impacted:

  • Electrical will be offline in the basement.
  • Telecom services may be impacted.

Special Instructions:  Please shut down and unplug all multi-function copier devices as well as any printers during scheduled power outages. The software on these machines can be negatively affected due to the power surge when the power is turned back on.  A power surge can corrupt the clone files in the machines and change preconfigured settings.

EMU Holiday Closure 12/18-1/3

Begin:  December 18th, 2021

End:      Monday, January 3rd, 2022

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  EMU Building

Scope:  The EMU building will be closed to the public during the December holidays. Due to the closure of the ID Services Office during this time, it is strongly recommended that any key pick-ups be done beforehand or keyholders must wait until reopening. Keys orders will be put on hold during this time. Any emergencies must be sent through the Work Control Center workcontrolcenter@uoregon.edu to alert the Lock and Key Shop, and departments or users will need to coordinate with them.

Services Impacted:  Locknetic requests and key orders will be put on hold during this time.

Extra Notes:  Please plan accordingly and make sure urgent requests are submitted before the building closure.

Special Instructions:  Vanessa will be gone during those two weeks and will return on Monday, January 3rd, 2022.

Work Performed By:  During this time, Morgan from Work Control will handle card access requests.

Huestis Basement and Lokey Labs Compressed Air Shutdown 12/13/21

UPDATE 12/3: The shutdown had to be rescheduled to December 13th for 8 hours instead of 4.

End:      Monday, December 13th, 2021 at 3:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  Huestis Basement and Lokey Labs

Scope:  Compressed air will be shut down in the Huestis basement Zebrafish Facility and Lokey Labs.

Services Impacted:  Compressed air will be offline.
