7/26/17 (new date): Columbia Parking Garage and Ford Alumni Elevator Shutdown

On Wednesday, July 26th, there will be a three to five hour elevator shutdown, between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, in the Columbia Parking Garage and the Ford Alumni Center.

On Tuesday, July 25th, there will be a 3 to 5 hour elevator shutdown, between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, in Allen Hall and the EMU (Erb Memorial Union).

This is necessary to do a five-year full load safety test.

7/24/17-7/25/17 revision: Fenton Hall and LISB Elevator Shutdown

Revised Notice: 

Testing for the five-year full load safety test for LISB will need to be completed in the morning.  The elevator is currently up and running but will need to be shut down tomorrow from 7:00 am until 9:30 am.

(Fenton Hall testing was completed on 7/24/17.)

Elevator Services To Onyx Bridge West have been restored.

Due to a failed part, the west elevator that services Onyx Bridge will be temporarily out of service.  Our contractor, Otis Elevator hopes to restore services by the end of day Tuesday, February 21, 2017.  ADA access is available by using Onyx East Elevator, Pacific or Klamath.

02/09/2017: EMU Freight Elevator Shutdown

Building Occupants,

Due to a failed part, the freight elevator that services the EMU will be temporarily out of service until parts arrive and repairs can be completed.  Our contractor, Otis Elevator has sent the part out for repair.  Restoration is unknown at this time.  A second notification will follow when services have been restored.

Due to emergency repairs, the elevator in Huestis is temporarily shut down.  Otis Elevator has responded and has ordered a replacement drive.  Restoration is unknown at this time.  A second notice will follow when services have been restored.  Huestis can still be accessed by the elevators in Willamette, Stresinger and Lewis Integrative Science.
