[PEACEHEALTH NORTH] Elevator Upgrades Starting 7/16

Building Occupants, 


PeaceHealth has contracted with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation to modernize both cars (elevators) in the PeaceHealth North Building.

Work for car #1 is scheduled to begin July 16, 2018, and be completed September 21, 2018.

Work for car #2 is scheduled to begin September 24, 2018, and be completed by November 30, 2018.

The elevator shutdown has been rescheduled for this Wednesday, May 2nd, at the same time.  We are still waiting for parts to arrive.

Building Occupants,

PeaceHealth has contracted with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation to modernize both cars (elevators) in the PeaceHealth North Building. Work for car #1 is scheduled to begin April 30, 2018, and end July 6, 2018. Work for car #2 is scheduled to begin July 9, 2018, and be completed by September 14, 2018.

A notice will be sent out for the work on car #2 as it gets closer as a reminder to use caution in the lobby of each floor.

4/7: [OREGON HALL] Electrical Gear Outage Impacting Various Building Equipment & Areas 1E, 2E, 3E, 4E (all east wing areas)

This notice has been sent to all UO Spaces building contacts in Oregon Hall and Outlook Lists FS Memo and Computing Centers.

Building Occupants,

On Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 6:00 am – 3:30 pm Fortis Construction and JKG Electrical will be shutting down the basement electrical gear impacting the flowing equipment;

Freight Elevator
Passenger Elevators
Panel MSP1, west basement, basement pumps- chilled water/ heating/ condensate
Panel WRB, west basement, sump pump SP-3, exhaust fan EF-3
Water Heater in main basement
Panel ERB, main basement, hot water pump, sump pump SP4, dry pipe air compressor

Impacted Areas: 1E, 2E, 3E, 4E (all east wing areas)

Fortis will provide power to the air compressor and monitor the sump pumps.  This shutdown should not affect the data center.

3/7/18: Columbia Hall Power Outage

UPDATE:  The power has been restored but the elevator will continue to be down until Thursday, March 8th, when new parts are scheduled to arrive.

The power went out early this morning in Columbia Hall, and CPFM crews are currently working to get it back online.  We will update you as soon as the power has been restored.

11/18: Oregon Hall Electrical Shutdown to Basement Electrical Gear

Fortis Construction has scheduled an electrical shutdown on Saturday, November 18, from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm to the basement electrical gear to provide electrical feed to new roof-top HVAC equipment.

Services Impacted; All Passenger Elevators, Freight Elevator, Building Heating System and Domestic Hot Water.

Testing for the five-year full load safety test for LISB will need to be completed in the morning.  The elevator is currently up and running but will need to be shut down tomorrow from 7:00 am until 9:30 am.

(Fenton Hall testing was completed on 7/24/17.)

5/26/17: Upcoming Fire System Testing Klamath Hall and Price Science Commons

Building Occupants,

Fire system testing is scheduled for Friday, May 26th   from 6:00 am until 7:00 am.

Horns, Strobes and Speakers on the fire alarm system will not sound after the scheduled time, but there may be activity such as door holders closing and smoke detector testing that will occur throughout the morning. Provisions have been taken to monitor the building fire systems during this time and alarms that occur after the scheduled time should be considered real events and occupants should evacuate as usual per the U of O Emergency Procedures.
