Campus Academic Buildings Manual Unlocking/Locking Schedule Through 1/3/22

Services Impacted:  The CPFM Custodial Services staff are responsible for manually locking and unlocking the non-AMAG proxy exterior building doors on the main academic campus.

All exterior doors will remain locked 24 hours a day for the remainder of the winter break (AMAG proxy access to buildings will not be impacted). Crews will resume manually locking and unlocking the non-AMAG proxy exterior building doors on the main academic campus starting January 3, 2022.

Oregon Hall NE Parking Lot #14 – Diesel Generator Noise and Odor Advisory 12/18/21 – 12/19/21

Scope:  Due to work at the Oregon Hall Data Center, two diesel generators, located in the northeast parking lot, will be in operation over the weekend. The generators and fuel tank will be located in the three Facility Services Parking spaces. The generators will power the data center only. There will be no electrical impacts to the rest of the building.

Services Impacted:

  • No parking spaces, other than the 3 Facility Services space, will be impacted and the lot will remain open.
  • While in operation the noise and exhaust fumes may impact areas immediately adjacent to the generators but should have no impact on the interior of the building.

  • Systems in the building on standby power are walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, walk-in beverage coolers, ADA doors, MDF/IDF rooms, FSD’s, fire alarm system, egress lighting and Elevator system.

Science Complex RO Water Shutdown 12/29/21 – 12/30/21

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUESTED:
We need to find out if there is any equipment that relies on a constant supply of RO water.

We want to be sure that upon restarting the system there isn’t a pressure surge on those pieces of equipment.

  • The RO supply will not be available in Huestis, Streisinger, Lokey Labs, LISB, Klamath, Willamette, Onyx Bridge, and Pacific Halls.
  • This shutdown will disable all individual RO faucets, including any in fume hoods.
  • All potable (drinking) and industrial water faucets will still be in service, including safety showers and eyewashes.

Scope:  Friday morning (Tomorrow) at 6:00 am, PeaceHealth is going to test a programming adjustment on their Fire Alarm System. They will be simulating a real fire by either pulling a pull station or smoking a smoke detector.  This will cause the horns and strobes to sound, as well as any held open doors to release, throughout the entire PeaceHealth North building.

Services Impacted:  Horns and strobes will sound and fire doors will close.

Special Instructions:  PeaceHealth stated that if we have any staff in the building between 6:00 and 6:30 am, they would not need to evacuate.
