Pacific Hall Rooms 202, 203, and 204 Remodel Advisory 9/2/20 – 10/30/20

Begin:  Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020

End:      Friday, October 23rd 30th, 2020

Building Impacted:  Pacific Hall 202, 203, 204

Scope:  Remodel of 3 suites to connect suites and refresh finishes, electrical, lighting, mechanical ventilation system and add new storefront entries.  Minor asbestos abatement is required.

Services Impacted:

  • Asbestos abatement will occur in suites 202 and 204 from 9/2 to 9/4.  It will not impact suite 203. Additional asbestos abatement will occur the week of 10/19.
  • Construction to begin 9/14.
  • No electrical or HVAC disruptions are known at this time.  A shut down notice will be issued as necessary.
  • Users can expect to hear construction noises like hammering and drilling, and see employees and UO staff entering and exiting the building during normal business hours.

Friendly Hall Selective Electrical Shutdown 8/13/20

Begin:  Thursday, August 13th, 2020 at 8:00 am

End:      Thursday, August 13th, 2020 at 4:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  Friendly Hall

Scope:  Electrical shutdown for relocation of feeder conduits passing through the new elevator shaft area.

Services Impacted:  Three separate areas:

  • EM electrical panel will impact all hallway and exterior lighting at all floors;
  • Electrical Panel K will impact all 4th floor offices;
  • Electrical Panel D will impact all of the 1st floor.

Extra Notes:

Special Instructions:  Please shut down all multi-function copier devices as well as any printers during scheduled power outages. The software on these machines can be negatively affected due to the power surge when power is turned back on, a power surge can corrupt the clone files in the machines, and can change preconfigured settings.

Klamath Third Floor Lighting Shutdown 7/29/20

Scope: The power panel will be shutdown to full feeder conductors for phase 2 lighting on the third floor. All of the third floor’s lighting will be impacted.

LISB 153, 154, and 155 Lighting Shutdown 7/29

Scope: To complete the new MRI Emergency shut off connection and connect the new lights, lighting circuits will be momentarily switched. This will shutdown lights to LISB rooms 153, 154, and 155 for one hour.

1715 Franklin Electrical Shutdown 6/18/20

5/19/18: Oregon Hall Electrical and Network Shutdown

Building Occupants,

As part of the Oregon Hall Renovations on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 6:00 am – 3:30 pm contractors will be shutting down the 800A breaker in the Basement MDA Panel Labeled West Power/Lights.  This will impact lights, receptacles, and mechanical equipment that services the west portion of the building and network equipment in Room 225.  The Building Network system will be down, except for areas served by East Wing data rooms.  West side lighting, receptacles, mechanical equipment and the network will all be shut down during this time.

This work is necessary to allow for re-circuiting lights, receptacles and power to network equipment.

7/1/17: Cascade Hall Egress + Emergency Egress Lighting Shutdown

On Saturday, July 1st from 3:30 am to 6:00 am, emergency egress lighting will be off, and from 6:00 am to 11:30 am, all egress lighting will be off.

Work will be performed by Andersen Construction.
