UPDATE 6/01/23:
All sinks and restrooms are now operational and can be used.

 

UPDATE 5/26/23:
The second floor kitchen and bathroom will remain out of order until further notice due to issues encountered with the sewer line.  Only the first floor restroom, which is on a separate sewer line, is still operational.  An update will be sent when repairs have been completed.

6/13/23 Condon Hall Roof Crane Work Advisory

UPDATE:
We apologize for this late notice, but we just received notification that this work will take place tomorrow morning.  The crane will be staged on Kincaid Street around 6:30 or 7:00 am.  The sidewalk and exit will be blocked off and the contractor will be on site redirecting people.  Work is expected to be completed by 12:00 noon.

 

UPDATE:
The equipment replacement at Condon has been delayed.  Once the contractor can confirm materials are in place, the date will be reset.  Facilities Services expects this to be the week of June 12th.  The specific date will be shared once we hear from the contractor.

  • This will affect the HVAC air supply.
  • 13th Avenue will be partially blocked during this time.  The sidewalk on Kincaid will be blocked off.

6/01/23 – 6/05/23 Pacific Hall Freezer Room 17 and 17A Emergency Chilled Water Shutdown

UPDATE 6/05/23
The contractors have completed work on the chilled water piping in Pacific 17.  The portable units will be kept in place to ensure that the temperature stays consistent throughout the night, and then will be removed in the morning.

 

UPDATE 6/02/23
Due to a delay in parts, the shutdown has been extended to Monday, June 5th.

Scope:  Due to leaking chilled water piping in Pacific 17, Facilities Services has a contractor scheduled to do an emergency shut down and draining of the chilled water system to make the needed repairs. Portable cooling equipment will be installed in Pacific 17 for the duration of the chilled water outage. This equipment along with work activity in Pacific 17 will prevent access to Pacific 17 and Pacific 17A for the duration of the outage. This will also prevent access to and operation of the autoclave in Pacific 17A.

Services Impacted:

  • This will affect the autoclave steam in room 17A and chilled water in room 17 only.
  • All access to and from rooms 17 and 17A will be unavailable.

Scope:  As part of the Huestis Hall Renovation project, work will commence on May 22nd  around the north elevator in the basement of Huestis to sawcut slab and excavate down to footings. The work is scheduled for night shift. Once the slab is removed there will be a period of investigation of the sub grade conditions to determine excavation methods.

Services Impacted:  This work could result in noise and vibration experienced in Huestis Basement, Lokey Labs, and Streisinger.

5/12/23 Klamath Hall SF-3 and SF-4 Supply Air Emergency Shutdown

2nd UPDATE:
SF-4 has been repaired.  Supply air has been brought back online for the building.

 

UPDATE:
SF-3 has been restored but SF-4 is still down.  A contractor is on site and is working to bring it back online.
One half of the building now has supply air and an update will be sent when completed.

UPDATE:
The shutdown to repair the leaking chilled water line will now occur on Friday, May 26th due to parts availability issues.

Scope:  In order to repair a leaking fitting, the chilled water supplying chilled beams will be shut off. The duration of the shut down will extend into the weekend to allow for the glue used to set to manufacturers specifications.

Services Impacted:  This will affect the academic spaces with chilled beams on the first and second floors. Airflow will continue, but cooling ability will be reduced until the chilled water is restored mid-day Saturday.

5/16/23 – 5/18/23 Lawrence Hall West Exterior Stairwell Entrance Closed

Scope:  Weather permitting, the entrance into hallway H120 will be limited to emergency exit only, while a lift is used overhead to install anti-collision decals on the stairwell tower glass.

Services Impacted:  The work will be performed on the exterior of the building, so use of the stairwell for circulation within the building will not be impacted, but access to the entrance into H120 will be restricted. Please use other entrances during the duration of the project.
