10/16/23 Condon Hall Cardboard Dumpster Removal Notification

Begin:  Monday, October 16, 2023 – effective immediately

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Condon Hall

Scope:  The cardboard recycling dumpster located at the northwest entrance to Condon Hall has been permanently removed.

Services Impacted:  Building occupants in Condon Hall can now recycle their cardboard at Lillis Business Building or Prince Lucien Campbell.

Special Instructions:  Please see the map below detailing where these two cardboard recycling dumpsters are located.

Klamath Hall Loading Dock Cardboard Collection Change 6/02/23

Begin:  Friday, June 2, 2023 – effective immediately

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Loading Dock for Klamath Hall, Onyx Bridge, Willamette Hall, and Price Science Commons

Scope:  The cardboard collection location at the Klamath loading dock (pic below) has moved from green dock carts to a cardboard dumpster at the loading dock.

5/10/23 – 5/15/23 Lillis Business Complex Dumpster Relocation Advisory During Event

Begin:  Wednesday, May 10, 2023

End:      Monday, May 15, 2023

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Lillis Business Complex

Scope:  CPFM Solid Waste have moved the Lillis dumpsters for cardboard and trash to the corner of 13th and Kincaid due to the Spring Street Faire. We will provide daily service for these dumpsters during this event and will move them back into place on Monday morning, 5/15/23.

Services Impacted:  Cardboard and trash dumpsters are temporarily relocated.

11/17/22 1715 Franklin Building Recycling Program Informational Notice

Dear 1715 Franklin Building Occupants,

The CPFM Zero Waste Program will setup multiple recycling collection sites on each floor of the 1715 Franklin Building near the elevator starting Thursday, 11/17/22.  The attached floor plans detail where these sites are located.

The following sorting guide details the items accepted in our program.  All corrugated cardboard still needs to be taken to the recycling dumpster on the outside of the building.

10/28/22 1600 Millrace Recycling Program

Dear 1600 Millrace Building Occupants,

The CPFM Zero Waste Program will setup recycling collection sites on each floor of 1600 Millrace near the elevator starting Friday, 10/28/22.  The attached floor plans detail where these sites are located.  Each collection site will have two (2) 64 gallon carts:  Mixed Paper and Glass/Metal/Plastics.

Non-recyclable Packing Material Being Found in Science Buildings 3/28/22

Over the last several weeks, the Zero Waste crews have been finding “ClimaCell” packaging material in the recycle bins throughout the science buildings on campus.

Due to the biodegradable material inside this packaging, we cannot accept this material in our paper recycling bins. Unfortunately, it must go into the garbage.

Reduced Garbage/Cardboard Collection For Locations Serviced by CPFM 12/21/20 – 1/1/2021

When:  Winter Break  (December 21st, 2020 – January 1st, 2021)

Scope:  Both CPFM Garbage and Cardboard services will run reduced routes on campus starting the week of 12/21/20 through Friday, 1/1/21.  Please contact the CPFM Work Control desk if your building needs a garbage or cardboard service.

Zero Waste R.O.S.E. Fall Term Advisory Notice 9/14/20

The English Department will be closed for Fall Term 2020 and not able to distribute the key for accessing the Zero Waste Program’s Reusable Office Supply Exchange (R.O.S.E.) room.  The R.O.S.E. room will be accessible by appointment only for Fall Term.

Please contact the CPFM Work Control Center (541-346-2319) to request an appointment.  The Zero Waste Program will reach out to you to schedule a time that works for your department members to access the R.O.S.E. room.

 

 

Zero Waste Interior Recycling Pick-up Schedule Advisory 4/8/2020

Duration:  Spring Term 2020

Buildings or Areas Impacted:  UO Campus

Scope:  The Zero Waste Program will be moving to a 2x/month service for all interior recycling sites during Spring Term 2020.

Services Impacted:  Pick-up schedule for Interior recycling sites.

Special Instructions:

  • If building occupants see sites filling up, please call these locations into the Campus Planning & Facilities Management (CPFM) Work Control Center (346-2319).
  • Please make sure to detail what building and room number this site is near.
