Building:  Huestis Hall

Scope:  Water supply to the first-floor restrooms and drinking fountain will be shut down to make repairs on the restroom fixtures for 2-hours the morning of December 29^th.  This will also involve shutting down the supply air handling units and exhaust fans to the entire building.  Signage will be installed during the outage.

Services Impacted:

• First floor domestic water will be unavailable. Users are encouraged to use restrooms on another floor of Huestis Hall.
• Supply air handling units and exhaust fans will be offline throughout the entire building, including the Zebrafish facility.

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Pacific Hall

Scope:  Firmware updates on Siemens Lab HVAC and Exhaust System Controllers will take place in Pacific Hall.  The lab controllers modulate supply and exhaust air in the labs that were renovated in 2018.  The bulk of the controllers serve the basement, first and second floor lab spaces.

The updates will be performed remotely but may cause short interruptions on the supply and exhaust airflows in each lab space individually (versus all at once) while the firmware is loaded into the controller.   Following the update of each controller, the technician may need to access the individual lab spaces to verify the performance of the individual controller(s).

The dates and time frames are below:

 Schedule:

• 12/11/25 to 12/12/25 Back up and import all DXRs
• 12/15/25 Monday 8:30am to 3:30pm: Pacific Hall first floor DXRs
• 12/16/25 Tuesday 8:30am to 3:30pm: Pacific Hall second floor DXRs
• 12/17/25 Wednesday 8:30am to 3:30pm: Pacific Hall third floor DXRs
• 12/18-19/25 Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm: Remaining/Clean up

 Services Impacted:  The updates will impact the rooms with Supply/Exhaust Airflow and Room Temp values in the screenshots below:

UPDATE:
Work has been completed, and service has been restored.

End:      Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 8:30 am

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Willamette Hall – East side of the building on the following floor levels: Basement, Floor-1, Floor-2 and Floor-3.

Scope:  Building supply air will be off to allow personnel access into the internal fan compartment to make urgent repairs to supply damper actuators.

Services Impacted:  Supply air to the east side of the building will be off. Exhaust fans will continue to operate, which may cause pressures between the east side rooms and adjacent corridors.
