Scope:  Delta Sand and Gravel will be working on a sewer line leaving University Hall. They will be working in the manhole located at the southeast corner of the building.

Services Impacted:  Plumbing is NOT to be used in University Hall for the duration of the work. This includes restrooms, breakroom sinks, and anything that drains to sanitary sewer.

Special Instructions: Restrooms are available to use in Villard Hall.

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Centennial Hall, Mary Neils Hall, Elizabeth Hall, Weber Hall, 6441 NE 30th House, parking at NE 29th Ave. between Centennial and Holman Apts, and the East Hall’s elevator.

Scope:  Site preparation will begin for the new Child Behavioral Health Building.  Beginning Monday, 12/1, the fencing will be installed.  On the following Monday, 12/8, abatement will begin on all the structures within the fenced perimeter.  Demolition to follow abatement in Spring/ Summer of ’26. East Hall elevator to be without phone service throughout the duration. Contact facilities if you need to operate the elevator.  Updates will be sent out as the project progresses.  The Child Behavioral Health Building construction is expected to be complete in the Winter ’28/29.

Services Impacted:

• No parking or pedestrian traffic within fencing perimeter.
• Abatement activities mostly limited to the interior of buildings and should not affect noise levels in surrounding areas.
• Vehicular / construction traffic to be expected.

Special Instructions:  Alternate parking is available in campus parking lots or any of the side streets, except for NE 28^th Ave..

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper to prevent the system from clogging.  The current pumps do not have the ability to break down other materials like wipes or hygiene products.  Notices will be placed in the restrooms tomorrow regarding this issue.  Thank you for your understanding.

UPDATE:
The emergency repair has been completed and all services are back to normal.

Scope:  All sanitary lines for the 1^st floor north end have been shut down for an emergency repair.  The sanitary sewer pit on the east side of the building will be cleaned out.  An update will be sent when the drain lines have been restored to service.

Services Impacted:

• This affects the drinking fountains, sinks, and restrooms on the north end, 1^st floor only.
• The 2^nd floor north end and the south end of the building are not impacted and drain lines are working in these sections.

Special Instructions:  Please use the drinking fountains, restrooms, and sinks on the 2^nd floor or in the south end of the building.

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Central Kitchen, Traffic on E. 17th and Columbia St., Neighboring building traffic

Scope:  Public improvement project to install new manholes and extend public storm and sanitary lines to the Next Gen project site. Work will be completed in the south portion of the intersection of E. 17th and Columbia St., in Columbia St. between E. 17th and the north entrance of the Central Kitchen, and the north potion of the Central Kitchens parking/loading area.

Services Impacted:  Local traffic will be able to travel along E. 17th, but traffic will be limited and controlled while work in done in the intersection. During this period there will be a temporary closure to Columbia St. between E. 17th and the Central Kitchen.

UPDATE:
Harvey and Price will be here Monday, April 8^th, for the full day, to address the broken 3” vent in the ceiling.  Noise is to be expected during the drilling and fastening of anchor points for the vent as it is properly supported to the wall.  This will then allow for the broken section to be removed and put back together.

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  West and north sides of the UO Duck Store, E. 13^th Ave., and Kincaid Street

Scope:  A privately engineered public improvement (PEPI) project is planned for construction within the right-of-way that is adjacent to the UO Duck Store. The project is privately designed, privately funded, and privately constructed.  The construction will occur at 871 E 13th Avenue in Eugene, Oregon 97401.  Please see the attached map for the project location.

Construction within E. 13th Avenue will begin in late June, approximately June 26th. Construction within Kincaid Street will begin roughly a week later.  During construction, the sidewalk on the north side of E. 13th Avenue and on the west side of Kincaid Street will be closed. Work on Kincaid Street will be done at night.  This project includes utility Improvements. The improvements include:

• Sanitary sewer line extension
• New sanitary manhole
• Storm line extension
• New storm manhole
• Minor paving 12th Alley, E 13th Avenue and Kincaid Street

Construction Work by UO Duck Store

UPDATE:
While repairs are made to the sewage lift station, seven parking spaces (#8 – #14) will be blocked off for the contractor’s pump truck.  These spots are located directly in front of the east entrance.

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  1715 Franklin Blvd – North Wing

Scope:  Due to sewage lift station repair/upgrade, all drain piping will be out of service on the first and second floor of the north wing until repairs are complete.

Services Impacted:  This will impact usage of domestic hot and cold water in all sinks, toilets, urinals, and drinking fountains.

Special Instructions:  Please use restrooms and sinks in the south wing.

UPDATE 5/26/23:
The second floor kitchen and bathroom will remain out of order until further notice due to issues encountered with the sewer line.  Only the first floor restroom, which is on a separate sewer line, is still operational.  An update will be sent when repairs have been completed.

Scope:  The sewer line has been shut down to remove a clog in the system.  An update will be sent when the drain is back online.

Services Impacted:

• All drain lines in the building for the sinks and restrooms will be offline.
• Noise and odor can be expected outside of the building as the contractor jets the system.
