Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Klamath Hall B029 and Price Science Commons Café and upper restroom

Scope:  Roto Rooter will change out of the grease trap in the Klamath Hall basement in Mechanical room # B029 that is connected to Price Science Cafe and upper restroom floor drains.

Services Impacted

  • The Price Science Commons upper restroom and café will be shut down during this time.
  • Odor can be expected from this activity.

Special Instructions:  Please use the restrooms downstairs.

3/15/24 Friendly Hall Emergency Restroom and Drain Shutdown

UPDATE: 
The system has been restored to service.

End:      Friday, March 15, 2024 – unknown 4:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Friendly Hall

Scope:  The drains are offline and Roto Rooter is headed over to unclog the system.  An update will be sent when service has been restored.

Services Impacted:  Restrooms, sinks, and drinking fountains are offline at this time.

Special Instructions:  Please use the facilities in adjacent buildings.

End:      Friday, February 23, 2024, at 3:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Huestis Hall basement

Scope:  Sanitary discharge in the Huestis Hall basement will be limited to allow work to be completed in the sanitary pit.

Services Impacted:

  • Restrooms and handwashing sinks in labs and the break room will not be available during this shutdown.
  • Contractor will provide overflow waste bins for lab water discharge at floor sinks and floor drains.

Special Instructions:  Please use restrooms in adjacent buildings.

6/14/23 – 6/15/23 – 1715 Franklin North Wing Drainage System Shutdown

UPDATE:
While repairs are made to the sewage lift station, seven parking spaces (#8 – #14) will be blocked off for the contractor’s pump truck.  These spots are located directly in front of the east entrance.

Begin:  Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 7:00 am

End:      Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 5:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  1715 Franklin Blvd – North Wing

Scope:  Due to sewage lift station repair/upgrade, all drain piping will be out of service on the first and second floor of the north wing until repairs are complete.

Services Impacted:  This will impact usage of domestic hot and cold water in all sinks, toilets, urinals, and drinking fountains.

Special InstructionsPlease use restrooms and sinks in the south wing.
