The work has been completed, and service has been restored.

End:      Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 3:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Klamath Hall

Scope:  Klamath Hall laboratory compressed air will be shut down to repair a leaking pipe. No compressed air will be available during repairs.

Services Impacted:  Any device or experiment using compressed air will not function. Compressed air for blow-down and cleaning will not be available. Any device with a minimum pressure alarm might go into alarm

Work has been extended to Monday, November 3rd.

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  1776 Millrace and Parking Lot 61

Scope:  Office World will be moving furniture to the third floor.

Services Impacted:  The moving truck will reserve six parking spots in visitors parking in Lot 61 and utilize the lobby elevator.

10/23/25 Klamath Hall Emergency Compressed Air Shutdown

Service has been restored.

 

Begin:  Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 1:00 pm

End:      Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Klamath Hall

Scope:  The air compressors will be shut down for an emergency evaluation of a piping leak.  With conservative use, the air compressor storage tank will continue to supply a limited amount of full pressure air.  Be aware that the evaluation might uncover additional issues and require an immediate emergency multi-day shutdown of all Klamath Hall compressed air.

Services Impacted:  Lab compressed air devices will not work. Experiments requiring compressed air should be re-scheduled for a different time.

10/23/25 Chilled Water Emergency Pressure Test

Scope:  The chilled water will undergo an emergency pressure test for roughly 30 minutes to an hour.

Services Impacted:  There may be a slight drop in pressure noticed only by the Data Center and Klamath Hall, but no other impact is expected.
