Scope:  The steam system will be temporarily shut down to install a condensate blowdown valve for maintenance purposes.

Services Impacted:

  • Huestis Basement: Depending on the outside air temperature, the AHUs and LEFs that serve the basement may need to be shut down to avoid unheated air blowing into occupied spaces.
  • Huestis all floors: Domestic hot water will be offline during this outage.

– Huestis Hall: Siemens BAS will be affected by network disruptions, alarms are anticipated
– Huestis Basement: Standby power to Suite 34 will be offline.

– Lokey Labs: Brief 15-minute standby and normal power shutdown to Lokey Labs panel 2N5.
– Lokey Labs: Siemens BAS will be affected, alarms are anticipated.

Special Instructions:  Please shut down and unplug all multi-function copier devices as well as any printers during scheduled power outages. Scope:  104 linear feet of sidewalk along E. 13th Ave., from the NW corner of Carson Hall to the NW edge of the loading dock lane, will be removed and replaced with a new sidewalk.  The contractor just notified us that they will begin the concrete cutting today at noon.

Services Impacted:

  • This section of sidewalk will be closed for approximately a week.
  • Related construction noise can be expected.
  • The loading dock will remain accessible during the project.

Scope:  Be advised that Central Plant staff is in process of adding water to the TES tank in the “back 40”, and as part of that there is a fire hose run across the roadway between the back of the plant and the TES tank, and it is now blocked off – see picture.

Services Impacted:  Section of road closed in the Back 40 between the plant and the thermal tank.

Special InstructionsPlease do not use that roadway until Tuesday at noon.

Western Asphalt will be back on Monday morning, August 5th, to paint the EV and ADA spaces.  The three lots listed will be shut down Sunday night and closed throughout the day on Monday.  However, once the paint is dry, the signs will be removed and the lots will be reopened.
