10/26/22 Huestis Hall Supply and Exhaust Air Systems Shutdown

Scope:

  • The basement supply and exhaust air will be shutdown to allow for an exterior snorkel attachment on the outside air intake.
  • Willamette AHU-2 and Huestis SF3B and AHU 1 & 2 will be offline during this time

Services Impacted:  Exhaust and HVAC Air Supply

10/26/22 Price Science Commons and Cascade Hall Discolored Water Advisory

Buildings Affected:  Price Science Commons and Cascade Hall

Scope:  Yesterday (Wednesday, October 26th) Price Science Commons and Cascade Hall experienced discolored water.  Facilities Services and EHS responded to attempt to identify the cause of the discoloration.  FS custodians flushed the potable water systems in both buildings overnight.

FS plumbers have investigated the points of connection for these 2 building and EHS performed another inspection this morning at 6:30am.  The results of the inspection identified probable iron sediment dislodge as part of the Huestis renovation project.

FS and EHS will continue to monitor the water and  respond to discoloration calls from the call log.

10/26/22 Lawrence Hall Core Drilling Advisory

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Lawrence Hall Lobby (L100) and Exterior Entry

Scope:  Three holes will be cored at the main south entry of Lawrence Hall to provide access under the concrete slab for geo tech analysis of the subsurface.

  • Two holes will be cored inside the Lobby (L100)
  • One hole will be cored outside under the covered entry area

Services Impacted:  Access to the doors will be affected but will remain open.  Noise from the drilling should be expected.
