The work described in this notice was unfortunately postponed but has been rescheduled for Monday, September 26 through Friday, September 30.

 

Begin:  Monday, September 12th, 26th, 2022 at 8:00 am

End:      Friday, September 16th, 30th, 2022 at 4:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  University Hall and Villard Hall

Scope:  For the “Heritage Project” (University and Villard Halls), our General Contractor (Fortis) will be performing some very light selective demolition within both buildings. This will range from drilling some small holes, to opening up some larger areas in walls and floors to assess and document existing conditions. EH&S has approved the assessment locations. All areas will be covered and safe immediately after each task takes place.

Services Impacted:  Light construction in these locations:

  • University Hall – General public areas, hallways, and room 012, and 011A
  • Villard Hall – Basement hallway (003), Pocket Playhouse (024), and storage room (011)

9/26/22 Huestis Basement Zebrafish Facility HVAC, Exhaust, and Fume Hood Shutdown

End:      Monday, September 26th, 2022 at 4:00 pm

Building and Area:  Huestis Basement Zebrafish Facility

Scope: As part of the Huestis Renovation, Huestis Basement AHU 1, AHU 2 and Exhaust Fans will be shutdown to accommodate rerouted ductwork in the south stairwell.

Services Impacted:  This will affect the HVAC system, exhaust, and fume hoods.

Special Instructions:  Fume hood sashes should be closed and containers within the fume hoods sealed prior to this date.
