8/01/22 PLC Fire Alarm Noise Advisory

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  PLC

Scope:  A contractor will be performing work on the fire system Monday morning. This may cause fire alarms to sound.

Details:  Horns, Strobes, and Speakers on the fire alarm system will not sound after the scheduled time. Provisions have been taken to monitor the building fire systems during this time and alarms that occur after the scheduled time should be considered real events and occupants should evacuate as usual per the U of O Emergency Procedures.

8/01/22 – 9/15/22 Jane Sanders Stadium Stair Access Advisory

UPDATE: The rock infill of the space between the stairs and building will take place on Thursday, 9/15/22

UPDATE:  This work is not yet complete, the stairs will be opened Monday 9/12/22 in the afternoon but will need to be closed down later in the week to infill the space between the stairs and building with rock, the date for that work is TBD at this time

Building and Area Impacted: Jane Sanders Stadium

Scope:  The exterior stairs on the north side of building will be removed and replaced as part of a waterproofing project.

Services Impacted: Access to the North exterior stairs will be unavailable at this time.

Special Instructions: During this time, pedestrian traffic will be rerouted to the stairs at the Student Tennis Center.

8/01/22 – 9/16/22 McKenzie Hall Construction & Noise Advisory

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  McKenzie Hall 121-123, H121, H125, 111, 113, 115, and 116

Scope: During a recent flood in the mechanical room, ducts that provide ventilation to a portion of the first floor were damaged and cannot be re-used. New overhead ductwork and sprinkler piping to serve the classrooms and hallways shown will be installed.

Services Impacted:  We will be closing part of the SW section of McKenzie Hall to install new ductwork to classrooms 121-123 and the adjacent hallways H121 and H125. There will be no access to restrooms 111, 113, 115, and 116. Second floor rooms above the construction zone will experience light noise from work on first floor.
