6/22/22 – 6/24/22 Cascade Hall, Price Science Library, Pacific Hall, Columbia, and Volcanology Steam Shutdown
Posted on

Begin:  Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 at 7:00 am

End:      Friday, June 24th, 2022 at 3:00 pm

Buildings AffectedCascade Hall, Price Science Library, Pacific Hall, Columbia Hall, and Volcanology

Scope:  Due to a leaking 16-inch main steam valve, the steam will be shut down to make an emergency repair in a section of steam piping.   Improvements to the utility steam metering at Cascade Hall will also occur during this outage.

Services Impacted:  There will be no steam heat or hot water during the shutdown. This should have little impact to most building users.

Please let us know asap if there is any critical research that needs assistance. The forecast shows sunny weather in the 70s those days. But this unusual cold weather has caused trouble with heating shutdowns this year.
