6/15: [STUDENT REC CENTER] HVAC Air Supply Shutdown Suites 90, 92, 190 & 192

Building Occupants,

Starting June 15, 2018, at 8:00 am the HRV-3 that serves the locker rooms in Suites 90, 92, 190 and 192 will be temporarily shut down while contractors HSW and Alliant seal existing duct work on the system. This will impact HVAC air supply. The Project Manager anticipates that services will be restored approximately 48 hours after the work is completed.

5/24: Huestis Hall HVAC Testing

Campus community,

On Thursday, May 24, Huestis Hall will undergo periodic testing of the building HVAC systems, which handle heating, cooling, and ventilation. This will cause brief interruptions in the climate control and ventilation throughout the building between the hours of 4:00p-5:30p. [HEDCO] Thermal Comfort Questionnaire & Brief Temperature Fluctuations

Building Occupants,

You are receiving this email because Campus Planning and Facilities Management (CPFM) will soon be performing work on your building’s thermal control systems. The work will identify and correct malfunctioning components and overhaul control routines in an effort to improve thermal comfort in your work space while reducing the building’s energy consumption.

We are surveying building occupants as part of the process to establish a baseline for workplace thermal comfort and to guide these tuning efforts. If you would like to provide feedback, please follow the link to the Thermal Comfort Questionnaire.

Thermal Comfort Questionnaire

Participation should take approximately five minutes and is anonymous and entirely voluntary. Your response will support both this and future building improvement projects on campus and may be used to inform future architectural design research. You may experience brief temperature fluctuations during the repair and tuning process over the next four weeks. We are collaborating with CPFM to monitor interior conditions closely and will make every effort maintain temperatures within a comfortable range. 2/20: [HUESTIS] Supply Fan (SF-2) Shutdown

On Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am supply fan (SF-2) will be temporarily shut down in Huestis.  This may impact rooms with animal research. Fume hoods will operate but may have an INCREASED airflow during the shutdown.  This is necessary due to the replacement of the re-heat temperature sensor inside the air handler.
