Due to stormwater drainage repairs, the courtyard surrounded by Streisinger, Huestis, Klamath, and Willamette has concrete work scheduled for 11/30 – 12/5. There will be noise and congestion associated with this work. The contractor will have the area well marked, and barricades will be in place.

12/11 – 12/15: [SPORTS PERFORMANCE CENTER & JJS ] Closure: Pedestrian Paths of Travel

During the week of December 11 – 15, 2017 Mac Group and Eugene Sign and Awning will be installing art on the east and north sides of the Sports Performance Center. This work will impact the Emerald Path that is the north-south path between 18th and 15th and the east – west path between the indoor Tennis Center and the new Jane Sanders Stadium. Barricades and signage will be in place.

12/15 – 12/20: [STRAUB MEMORIAL HALL] Informational Notice: Art Installation in Straub Commons

Building Occupants,

During the week of December 15 – 20, 2017 Fortis Construction will be using a scissor lift to hang art pieces in Straub Commons, room H146. Area of work will be cordoned off, but the Commons will remain open. Sound disruption should be minimal as the structural phase of this project was completed last summer. Art pieces will be staged in the NE corner of the Gabled commons, Room 141.

12/6 – 12/8: Evening Hallway Closure Huestis 2nd Floor beginning 12/6 at 7:00 pm

Building Occupants,

As part of the Huestis Hall 2nd Floor projects, the corridor/hallway flooring on the 2nd floor will be replaced. The activity will include asbestos abatement. Abatement work is tentatively scheduled to occur Wednesday, December 6 – Friday, December 8, 2017.

Preparation for this work will start at 7:00 pm on 12/6. Sections of the corridor will be inaccessible the evenings of Wednesday 12/6 through Friday 12/8. The hallways will be open starting at 5:00 am each morning.

12/19: Steam Shutdown Impacting LLC

Building Occupants,

On December 19, 2017, from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm the Living Learning Center will temporarily be without steam services while contractor S2 Industrial completes work on the expansion joints and installs a new valve to the steam lines located in the tunnel. This will impact building heat, hot water and all equipment that utilizes steam.  This has been coordinated with Greg Ottoman from Housing.

11/19: Parking lot closures at BDC and 10th & Mill

Building Occupants,

On Sunday, November 19, 2017, lot 1D will be closed for tree trimming and landscape maintenance.   This may impact Baker Downtown Center and 10th & Mill building occupants.  This is necessary due to heavy equipment and trimmed tree boughs that will be blocking entrance and egress from the east side of the lot as well as the Diamond Parking lot leased to the 10th & Mill building.

11/19: Tree Work Along Franklin by Villard

Building Occupants,

On Sunday, November 19, 2017, Sperry Tree Care will be onsite by Villard at the E 11th Ave and Franklin Blvd Merger.   Contractors will be performing tree maintenance on the oak tree that overhangs Franklin Blvd.  The equipment will be staged at Franklin Blvd, and there is a possibility the contractor will need to bring equipment down the sidewalk in front of Deady and Villard.    The city has approved this work, and the contractor has coordinated pedestrian and vehicular traffic control.  Please expect intermittent chainsaw noise associated with this work.

11/11: Johnson Hall Lobby Camera Installation

11/18: Oregon Hall Electrical Shutdown to Basement Electrical Gear

11/16/17: Oregon Hall Panel 243 Electrical Shutdown

Building Occupants:

On Thursday, November 16th from 6:30 pm until 10:00 pm, there will be an after-hours electrical shutdown to panel 342 (near the freight elevator).

This is limited to specific 3rd-floor west areas: offices 333A-E, breakroom area 333 (fridge & water heater), workstations 330, receptacles in 342, and rooftop receptacles.

Work will be performed by Fortis Construction and JKG Electrical.

The owner’s representative has coordinated this outage with building contacts Nancy Fish and Nancy O’Brien.
