3/10/23 CPFM Compound Propane Tank Installation Advisory

Scope:  Facilities Services will be installing a 500 gallon propane tank and line, in the parking lot are north of Bldg. 130 (CPFM Warehouse/Stores) and east of Bldg. 129 (Paint Quonset) this Friday. The tank will be located in the NW corner of the newly paved parking area.

Services Impacted:

  • No impacts to Building 130 CPFM Warehouse/Stores occupants are expected.
  • Occupants of Building 129 Paint Quonset will have modified building access because of the open trench.
  • The travel lane for vehicles and deliveries should not be affected, only temporary impacts to adjacent parking spaces. around the trench and tank location.

Klamath Hall Natural Gas Shutdown 12/16/19

Begin:   December 16, 2019 at 7:00 am

Scope:  Contractors need to safely remove a tree stump next to the Natural Gas meter and building connection. Natural Gas will be shutoff for the duration of the tree work.

Willamette Hall RO Water and Gas Shutdown 10/16/19 – 10/17/19

On Wednesday evening, October 16th at 10:30 pm to Thursday morning, October 17th at 4:30 am, the RO water in the basement will be shutdown, plus the natural gas, for the whole building, will be offline.  This will allow the contractor to isolate the RO water and natural gas utilities for renovation in the basement.

Work will be performed by Lease Crutcher Lewis.

Moss Street Children’s Center Gas Meter Replacement 3/25 – 3/27

Facilities Liaisons,

NW Natural Gas and Brothers Plumbing will be onsite at Moss St. Children’s Center installing a new gas meter over spring break. The project will run from March 25 – March 27. EMU has reserved four parking spaces out front of the building allowing crews to complete repairs. All work is on the exterior of the building.

Klamath Hall Natural Gas Shutdown 3/27

Facilities Liaisons,

As part of the third-floor renovation the contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis will be shutting down natural gas to Klamath Hall on March 27, at 7:00 pm with a restore time of 5:00 am on March 28. This is necessary while crews install valves to isolate the third floor from the rest of the building. This will be a building-wide natural gas shutdown.

Moss Street Children’s Center NW Natural Gas Shutdown 1/18

Building Occupants,

Northwest Natural gas detected a small leak in the gas line leading into the building. The gas has been shut off to the north side of the building until repairs can be made. This impacts hot water, kitchen appliances and heat in the building. EMU Facilities will be coordinating repair efforts.

03/28/2017: Streisinger, Huestis, Willamette, and Lorry Lokey Labs Natural Gas Shutdown

Building Occupants,

On Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 Streisinger, Huestis, Willamette, and Lorry Lokey Labs will have a temporary Natural Gas Shutdown from 7:30 am – 8:30 am.  This work is necessary for a meter inspection.  Spring Break was selected to limit the impact to building occupants.

Notice: Huestis Natural Gas, Lab Air, RO Water, Potable Water and Heating Water Shutdown 2/9 and 2/10 from 6 pm – 7 am

Due to the installation of new isolation valves located in the SE building riser, the below services will be interrupted in Huestis for two consecutive nights of shut-downs from 6PM-7AM on February 9, 2017, and February 10, 2017.  Utilities will be turned on during the day.  Two nights have been scheduled for the work, although the contractors may be able to complete the work in 1 night depending on progress and condition of old lines.

Heating Water – 3rd floor only
