UPDATE 1/08/26 (date corrected 1/09):
On Tuesday, January 13th from 6:00 – 8:00 am, there will be construction noise from room 012B. The noise will be generated by drilling into the concrete ceiling of 012B. Please expect to hear or feel vibrations throughout the east basement of the Lewis Integrative Science Building and in the suites above 012B (the MRI suite).
UPDATE 12/11/25: Concrete drilling in B030 has been cancelled. The concrete anchor installation in B012A have been postponed until December 18, 2025, 7:00 am – 10:00 am.
UPDATE 12/09/25: On Monday, December 15, 2025 between 7:00 am – 9:00 am, concrete drilling in a wall shared between the basement mechanical room B030 and the lab B012A will occur. Concrete anchors will also be installed in the ceiling of B012A that will cause vibrations and noise to occur in the spaces above, rooms 184 and 185.

Scope: The Lab space will be remodeled, to include the installation of a glove box, a sputtering machine, and gas piping, as well as electrical and HVAC modifications. Construction mobilization begins in December, demolition in early January, with major construction activities in February and March.
Services Impacted: Construction noise and activity can be expected with occasional planned mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system shutdowns in and around room B012B.
