Kincaid Street Sidewalk Pressure Washing 5/27/20 – 5/29/20

Buildings or Areas Impacted:  Side Walk from 13th Avenue to Southern end of Kincaid Street next to Condon, PLC, and Knight Library

Scope:  CPFM staff will be pressure washing from 13th Avenue to the Southern end of Kincaid Street on the east side of the sidewalk.

Services Impacted:  Access to the ADA ramps to buildings will be open, but there will be hoses and equipment that may need to be moved in order to access them.  Please use an alternative entrance, if possible.

Cleaning Drains & Catch Basins 1/11/20-1/12/20

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted: Streets campus-wide

Scope: A large vactor truck will be on University streets as the contractor cleans drains and catch basins. A hose will be placed temporarily on sidewalks for short periods of time throughout the process.

Extra Notes: All of the work will occur outside and will be performed by Mid-State Industrial Service, Inc.

Onyx Bridge and Klamath Hall Loading Dock Access Advisory 12/18/19

Scope:  A 53′ tuck will be parked at the loading dock for Onyx Bridge and Klamath Hall to unload a large delivery of furniture systems for the Willamette 100 classroom renovation project.

Services Impacted:  Loading dock access.

Streisinger Loading Dock Key Change 9/23/19

UPDATE 9/30/19:

As of today the Streisinger loading dock exterior door (reader R100) is tied back into the building card access control system and is operational. No more need to manually lock and unlock the door.

 

Original:

As of today, September 23rd, the Streisinger loading dock door will no longer be on the AMAG system.  Custodians will unlock it in the morning and UOPD will lock it in the evening.  After-hours access will require using the old Willamette exterior key.  Access can also be obtained by going through Klamath, LISB, or Huestis.

Streisinger and Klamath Loading Dock Blockage Advisory 7/16/19 and 7/18/19

As part of ongoing renovations, contractors will have a crane in the loading dock between Klamath Hall and Streisinger Hall on Tuesday, July 16th, and on Thursday, July 18th, blocking deliveries between 4:00 am – 12:00 noon, each day.

Work will be performed by Lease Crutcher Lewis.

UPDATE: 12/10 – 1/2: Closure: 15th Ave Between Agate and University Street and Bowerman Parking Lot 31

Due to the EWEB waterline replacement project on 15th avenue, the water will be shut off to both LLC and Bowerman from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, 12/21/17 to connect the building water for these two buildings to the new water main in 15th.  Domestic water from the fire line will be shut off in Bowerman ONLY, thus UO Fire Protection will provide fire watch or monitors.

Campus Community,

EWEB will be replacing the main water line under 15 Ave between Agate Ave and University Street from Agate to just east of the Recreation Center starting December 11, 2017, Sunday, December 10, 2017, thru January 2, 2018.  The roadway will be closed during this time to traffic as well as the Bowerman Parking Lot #31. Work will be done from 8:00 am -5:00 pm weekdays, however, the roadway and lot will remain closed during off hours.

 

There will be an additional notice sent regarding a water shutdown for one day (likely between December 25 & Dec 31, 2017 ) that will impact LLC and Walton Bowerman.  EWEB will be providing the standard 48-hour notice and information about the water shutdown will be communicated as it is received.  NOTE: Water will NOT be shut off to Walton during this project.

Campus Community,

Due to the installation of new rooftop mechanical equipment on the Knight Library Kincaid Street will be vacated by the City of Eugene the night of 2/28/17 thru 5:00 pm 3/3/17 from just north of 14th to the cul-de-sac south of the Knight Library loading dock.  This is necessary to accommodate the crane staging.

3/1 – 3/3 between 8:00 am, and 3:00 pm contractors will be lifting new mechanical equipment onto the Knight Library roof.   Rooms located on the west side of Knight Library with windows facing the street and adjacent rooms, must be vacated during this time.   Bike racks and pedestrian traffic on the NW side of the Library will be temporarily closed for the safety of the campus community.

1/16/17 – 6/30/17: Streisinger Loading Dock – GBC Construction Staging

Campus Community,

Attached you will find a diagram of Lot 12B on the north side of Streisinger Hall showing ‘GBC Construction’ staging for the construction of the Klamath Hall 2nd Floor Core Remodel. Monday, January 16th GBC will place their job trailer and begin to occupy the areas shown. The project is scheduled to complete June 2017 at which time the trailer, dumpster, and fencing will be removed.

The loading dock will remain open for use. The attached layout has been approved by the City of Eugene Fire Marshall and UO Parking Services. The utility hole located in parking stall 14 will remain accessible to CPS.
