My goals for week 2 involved researching web development platforms and begin gathering information from Pete.

I conversed with Pete through email all week gathering background information, client lists, and his watermark (which I will be updating to be consistent with his logo.  Additionally, we discussed layout options he would prefer and what would be involved in each folder of the site.  While I have a rough idea of the layout Pete would like and what will be involved in each folder, I need to begin mocking up layout samples for him to view, which will be essential in the timeline and process of moving forward with site.   Furthermore, I began mock ups of brand logos for Pete.  He was able to view a mock up Saturday, and though he enjoyed the logo he wants the brand to convey the variety and breadth of his work.  While I agree with him, the purpose of the website is to grow his photo and video business.

I have scoured the web, looking for what platforms are optimal for photography websites.  I have looked at over 50 reviews of available option, and while there are photography specific web builders, squarespace seems to be the most reasonable for design and ease of use for Pete to update.  I will be discussing layout options with him soon.

Next week I would like to begin mocking different layouts for Pete.  I will present these and we will determine which will be best for his professional goals.
