1.) I would like to expand my creative suite knowledge, specifically concentrated on Illustrator and InDesign, while touching on Photoshop.
I am pleased to say I have progressed my knowledge in the aforementioned programs. I gained valuable Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop experience, though I still slightly dislike the InDesign still. I feel that indesign could be incorporated into photoshop or into illustrator to create easier flow between the programs.
2.) I would like become more versed in the fine details of graphic design.
I concentrated heavily on the graphic design viewpoint throughout the term. I feel that I achieved a better understanding of the intricacies of graphic design and the small things that can enthrall you in a design.
3.) Gaining more in-depth knowledge of typography, so I may be able to decide more decisively on the type I want for a project. I would also like to create a font or two.
I gained a larger knowledge of typography with a more substantiated font vocabulary. I also learned to slightly adjust descenders in individual letters, to change the way the font looks. I still have yet to create fonts, though I feel it will be slightly too intensive.
4.) Push my graphic design boundaries, creating aesthetically progressive and pleasing designs in which I am confident.
I was pleased with the graphics I produced and feel that I accomplished progressive and pleasing designs throughout the term.
5.) Expand my knowledge of the overall picture of how marketing, design, communications, and media work together.
I have expanded my knowledge of the overall marketing picture, but feel I still have more to gain. I would imagine this would come in the next course and comparative technologies.
