Dear Campus Partners:
In response to the mask updates at the UO, please review the following COVID19 Sign Removal Instructions.
Mask Update at the UO: Based on guidance from local public health authorities, starting March 19 masks will be welcome but optional in most places at the UO.
- Masks are still required indoors on campus through March 18.
- When masks become optional in most places, they will continue to be required in health care settings, including University Health Services and Monitoring and Assessment Program (MAP) testing sites.
- This decision does not impact other COVID-19 regulations. The UO continues to require vaccines, offer testing, and provide masks and other resources.
Read the full announcement including a list of personal preventative strategies and university-provided resources here.
Signage removal (in areas that are not identified as health care settings):
On March 19, 2022 (or after), please remove any signage related to COVID19 including:
- Physical distancing
- Required mask wearing
- Reporting COVID safety concerns
- Signage that is related to isolation or quarantine. (Some “stay home if you feel sick” signs might have this information included. If so, please remove.)
- Any signage that includes outdated information re: COVID19 and UO policies.
- OSHA signs with COVID19 related information. For example:
Signage that encourages healthy handwashing tips can remain in place, if desired.
Masks Required Indoors A-frames:
CPFM will be collecting Masks Required Indoors A-frames and redeploying to healthcare facilities by request.
Digital Signage:
Digital signage will no longer be available for download on the COVID19 website as of March 19, 2022.
Note: Central Signage re: COVID19 will no longer be provided as of March 19, 2022. Please do not create signage that does not align with the current UO regulations. It is important the university apply the UO COVID-19 regulation uniformly to maintain consistency and equity across campus.
Thank you,
