7/6/22 Onyx Bridge HVAC Construction Activity Advisory

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Onyx Bridge

Scope:  As part of an HVAC installation within room 291, be advised that contactors will be drilling through the adjacent hallway wall, for approximately two hours, in order to prep for incoming refrigerant lines.

Services Impacted:

  • The areas that will be affected by the construction noise and activity are room 291 and the adjacent hallway, as shown in the picture below.
  • This is not expected to cause disturbances to adjacent spaces beyond some moderate construction noise during the course of the work.

7/5/22 -7/6/22 Millrace Studio 3 and ZIRC Road and Lot 3A Closure

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  Road between ZIRC and Millrace Studio 3. From 3A lot spaces 1-15

Scope:  The road will be closed between ZIRC and the Millrace Studios to support a construction project.

Services Impacted:  Access will be blocked off during this time, but this may take less time than expected

Special Instructions:  A detour is available on the north side of the CPFM Administration Quonset or access can be obtained from the east via Riverfront Parkway.

7/1/22 – 8/12/22 Computing Center Emergency Air Conditioning Shutdown

UPDATE 8/12: The air conditioning is back online.

UPDATE 8/2: Computing Center second floor A/C is still offline. CPFM Mechanical Shop is picking up the replacement part today and plan to start repairs this week. They expect the issue to be resolved by the 12th.

UPDATE 7/13: The second floor HVAC is still offline. The occupants will experience warmer room temperatures. The CPFM Mechanical Shop is in the process of planning the repair.

Building Impacted:  Computing Center

Scope: Emergency air conditioning shutdown due to a damaged chilled water coil in the second floor air handler. It was necessary to isolate the coil to prevent water from leaking onto the first floor electrical equipment.

Services Impacted: The second floor rooms will not have air conditioning until the leak is repaired. The air conditioning to the server rooms is not impacted by this outage.

7/1/22 – 7/2/22 Knight Law informational advisory (windows washing)

Scope: All exterior windows are being washed.

Services Impacted:  Expect temporary sidewalk and building access issues as they move around the exterior of the building.
