Completed application packets, with the cover sheet, résumé (including names and contact information for two potential referees), and the 4-page essay in TRIPLICATE  to the director (not to NEH) and should be postmarked no later than March 2, 2015 to:

It is not recommended that you send your application return-receipt-requested or registered.  This just adds a layer of difficulty to our obtaining your application, often adding a delay.  We will acknowledge receipt of your application within a week of its arrival, but more often we will acknowledge it the same day we receive it.  If you really want to register your application, perhaps those who submit it right around the deadline would be those who might need this added assurance.
