Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Streisinger Hall – 2nd floor

Scope:  Exhaust fan 3 is offline due to an emergency shutdown.  Replacement parts are being located.  An update will be sent when it has been repaired.

Services Impacted:  This will affect the fume hoods and general exhaust on the 2nd floor.

Special Instructions:  Please close and secure fume hood sashes.

12/19/24 Johnson Hall Fire Sprinkler System Shutdown

End:      Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Johnson Hall

Scope:  Due to the installation of a fire sprinkler head in the Office of General Counsel remodel, the fire sprinkler system will be shut down to complete the work.

Details:  Horns, Strobes, and Speakers on the fire alarm system will not sound after the scheduled time. Provisions have been taken to monitor the building fire systems during this time and alarms that occur after the scheduled time should be considered real events and occupants should evacuate as usual per the U of O Emergency Procedures.

12/16/24 Straub Hall East Elevator #2 Testing Shutdown

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Straub Hall

Scope:  East elevator #2 will be offline for testing.

Services Impacted:  The east elevator will be out of order until testing is done.  Please use the west elevator.

Special Instructions:  If you have concerns about accessing your workplace when elevator services are impacted, please contact your supervisor to find an appropriate accommodation.
