10/21/24 – 3/31/25 Johnson Hall 219-221 Remodeling Advisory

UPDATE 11/19/24:
The work on the fire sprinkler heads has been rescheduled for Monday, November 25th.

 

UPDATE 11/14/24:
Scope: The fire alarm system will be temporarily shut down on Tuesday, November 19 starting at 7:00 am for Swinerton to relocate some fire sprinkler heads in rooms 219-221. The work is expected to take a few hours, and the system will be reactivated once work is complete.

Details:  Horns, Strobes, and Speakers on the fire alarm system will not sound after the scheduled time. Provisions have been taken to monitor the building fire systems during this time and alarms that occur after the scheduled time should be considered real events and occupants should evacuate as usual per the U of O Emergency Procedures.

UPDATE 11/01/24:
Demolition of clay tile will be occurring November 5th – 8th, from 5:00 am to 9:00 am.  There will be considerable noise during these hours.

 

UPDATE 10/24/24:
A temporary wall is being constructed on the south side of room #206 on Monday, October 28th, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.  It will remain in place for the duration of the project.

 

UPDATE 9/26/24:
The construction start date has been adjusted to Monday, October 21.  The completion date is still planned for March 31, 2025.

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Johnson Hall

Scope:  The Office of General Counsel is planning a remodel of their spaces in Johnson Hall – Rooms 219-221. The construction is expected to take approximately six (6) months starting around the 1st of October.

Services Impacted:  During this time, there will be various disruptions due to the construction, including impacts to rooms 202, 207, and 217.

Begin:  Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 7:00 am

End:      Friday, September 20, 2024, at 4:00 pm

Building(s) or Area(s) Affected:  Lewis Integrative Science Building 012A and 033

Scope:  Due to a lab remodel in room 012A, mechanical and electrical contractors will be performing updates in 012A and 033.

Services Impacted:  This will affect systems in rooms 012A and 033 only.
