Marketing, Media, Communications learning reflection

  1. I want to gain some arts marketing information about US, because I am not familiar with it. Through taking this class, I am eager to know what do American arts organizations operate? How to analyse arts marketing and how to attract audiences?

I know some organization’s brand and promotion from this class. From brand awareness activity assignment to graphic standards, taking class I know some American’s company through teacher and classmate. Especially for case study analysis, via environment scan and SWOC I learn more about culture organizations.

 

  1. With the development of technology, digital culture becomes a prevalent new trend. Touch and lean how to use adobe software such as AI, PS, Final Cut, etc…

Through the class I begin to know and use some professional design software, before the class all of them are strange to me. Although I am not very familiar with these software, I get deeper understand about them.

  1. Gain knowledge about graphic, typesetting and printing standards. I think this will be helpful to my future career.

The final assignment graphic standard makes me know more about typesetting and printing standards. In the process that make graphic standard by my own, I know some new skills.

  1. Familiar with pivotal elements of arts marketing and begin to form my own idea to art marketing.

I think this learning goal now looks some strange. I am eager to know about many knowledge of art marketing, but I forget it is impossible to form own idea in a short time. Because art is a very deep and wide field, if want to have specific idea that must grasp many knowledge. While, for now I cannot touch the level.

  1. Expand the knowledge of art communication, by reading materials, visit someplace and so on.

From every week’s lexicon creation, we explain many words about art and communication. At the same time, I read every week’s reading materials which help me a lot to have a deeper understand about art marketing and communication.

 

Learning Goals

Sorry to miss this project within the stipulated time. Fortunately, I wrote some keywords that I hope to learn on my note before the first class. My learning goals are:

  1. I want to gain some arts marketing information about US, because I am not familiar with it. Through taking this class, I am eager to know what do American arts organizations operate? How to analyse arts marketing and how to attract audiences?

Media Inventory

Forever only one is a virtual company imagined by my own, so there is no official website, no links of advertising, all the promotion channel are came up with my mind. Consider with single people usually have many work pressure and they hardly watch TV, the most regular way they touch is Internet or magazines. These are my plan to promote the company:

1.         Media promotion

1)   Set up an official website, introduce service goal, audiences, contents, etc… It is also a platform, which have many single people information on there, and sign in member you can put your own information on our website if you want and scan more others detail.

2)   Establish official account via social web, like facebook, twitter, instagram. Create hot topics every week and have some Internet lottery activities to attract more flowers.

3)   Spend money to put company information on google news and send email to potential customers (through questionnaire survey) to promote company popularity.

4)   Produce company promotional video and post it on YouTube.

5)   Put company post on buses, subways

6)   Advertise company on fashion magazines, such as vogue, ELLE,Cosmopolitan, etc…. But consider with funds, we may not put ads to every fashion magazine, we will focus on one or two magazines.

2.    Offline activies

1) We have sodalities between many companies. We can use our resources to hold different sodality, we try to cooperation with for those well-known companies, in this way our members will have more opportunity to know other people.

2) Entity company activities. Every month we will have different discount or activities in company. These information also update on our official web site.

3) On special days, we have movable counter in big shopping mall and give gift with company’s logo to people.
