4/08/23 Klamath, LISB, Onyx, Lokey Labs Nitrogen Tank Maintenance and Upgrades

Contractors will be performing maintenance and upgrades on the large Onyx Nitrogen tank this Saturday 4/8/2023. In preparation for this work, we have bypassed the gas supply from the large tank with two smaller pressure building vessels. The reason for the bypass is to allow the system to settle and de-ice. Over the next two days the house nitrogen lines may experience short drops in pressure.

Please alert the following groups if the issue occurs during the indicated times:

Thursday – Friday after hours and weekend: UO Dispatch – 541-346-2919 and or email tsacore@uoregon.edu

Once the proper contact is alerted, the issue can be fixed within 20 minutes.

Lokey Labs Nitrogen Rerouting Advisory 1/04/22

REVISED DATE:
Due to the RO shutdowns on December 29th, the nitrogen supply shutdown to Lokey Labs is rescheduled for January 4. Same timeline and requirements apply.

 

Begin:  Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 at 8:00 am

End:      Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 at 12:00 noon

Building(s) or Area(s) Impacted:  Lokey Labs

Scope:  As part of the Huestis Hall renovation phase 1 project, the nitrogen supply line to Lokey Labs will be shut down temporarily to be rerouted upstream.

Services Impacted:  During this shutdown, Nitrogen will be available via backup supply tanks.

Klamath Hall Utilities Shutdown 4/8/2020

Building or Area Impacted:  Klamath Hall

Scope:  Final utility connections need to be made for Klamath 3rd floor South.

Services Impacted:

  • Nitrogen, Heating water, Heating Water return, Industrial Cold water, Industrial Hot Water, Hot Water Return and Chilled water will be offline to the 3rd floor south.
  • RO water will be offline to the whole building.

Klamath Hall 2nd Floor Nitrogen Shutdown 2/13/2020

Scope:  Klamath 2nd floor renovation needs to reroute and isolate nitrogen lines.
