Hayward Field Electrical Feeder Cables Installation Advisory 11/5/19 – 11/29/19

November 5, 2019 through November 29, 2019, workers will be in the area near Walton, LLC, and the University Health Center installing electrical feeder cables in support of the Hayward Field Project.

Work will be primarily in the utility tunnel and in the vaults located at University Health and at Walton Hall.   When the vault lids are open, the area will be roped off.

Work will be performed by L.R. Brabham, Inc.

Thompson University Center HVAC Assessment 11/8/19

On Friday, November 8th, beginning at 8:00 am, Alliant Systems will be walking through the building, along with a CPFM Facilities crew member, to assess the HVAC system.  They will need to access and investigate the areas listed below:

  • The roof
  • First floor rooms: 105, 105A, and 150C
  • Second floor rooms: Section 201H-K, H203, and 201M
  • Third floor rooms:  Suite 306 and 308 (break room)
  • Other rooms may be entered if deemed necessary

Alliant will make repairs, if time allows, otherwise they will return at a later date.  If repairs are made, heating and cooling may be affected during this time.

Klamath Hall Industrial Hot Water Shutdown 11/19/19

Update 11/19: The industrial hot water has been restored.

 

On Tuesday, November 19th from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, the industrial hot water will be shut down, affecting all industrial hot water lab faucets and autoclaves.  This will allow technicians to repair a leak on the top of an industrial water heater.  The domestic hot water will not be affected.

Work will be performed by the CPFM Plumbing Shop.
