It takes time! It’s ok if you get frustrated with a tool. From my own experience in your shoes:

By now, hopefully all of you have heard Ivan’s voice in part of the tutorials referenced in the first week of class. Above, the first image is when Ivan and I were trying to figure out lines in Illustrator. The second image is just after the first, when we figured out that you can select LINES and ANCHOR POINTS with different keyboard shortcuts (V and A, respectively). Look at the pride and relief on our faces when we figured it out! Don’t forget that your classmates have probably come across a similar struggle AND might know the answer AND might be sitting right next to you.
