New Finding Aid | George Wickes modern literature research collection

Special Collections and University Archives is pleased to announce a new finding aid published for the George Wickes modern literature research collection (Coll 485). The finding aid is available on Archives West.

George Wickes taught at the University of Oregon for almost fifty years, during which time he wrote several books about and with Henry Miller, Americans in Paris, and a biography of Natalie Barney. This collection holds all materials pertaining to his work on those individuals.

The Social Lives of the Ethiopian Psalter

A lecture by Professor Steve Delamarter, George Fox University
Thursday, October 4th, 2018 • 4:00 p.m.
Knight Library, Special Collections & University Archives Kesey Classroom

Dr. Delamarter will discuss his efforts in quantitative codicology, looking at about 1,600 Ethiopian Psalters to identify chronological and geographic developments in book culture. He will also spend time assisting the Special Collections Department with cataloging its holdings of Ethiopian manuscripts.

Louis Conrad Rosenberg collection, circa 1900-1970 (Ax 509)

Collection comprises papers of American etcher and architect Louis Conrad Rosenberg, and includes matted etchings, dry points, watercolors, journals, catalogs, architectural renderings, awards, books from his personal library, and information from interviews.
