Proposal:
For this project I would like to come up with a brand identity, a media inventory, and a media kit for my production company, Brave Umbrella Productions. As of now we are having a tough time knowing what to prepare and when. Having a structure will help immensely. We will likely be focusing on our brand throughout our marketing rather than just the shows. The shows are primarily contemporary stories about real people that artists feel are important for audiences to understand. However, we tell these stories in entertaining ways so that people will actually be able to relate on some level to the experiences on display. So, part of this project is learning how to translate these and other aspects of an organization into marketing platforms.
Learning Goals:
I really want to get a closer look at programs that are used to create marketing media and be able to use them more effectively. Additionally, I want to be able to interpret organizations and people effectively through marketing media.
Timeline:
- Week 2: Submit Proposal
- Week 3: Start learning the programs to do the project while figuring out who, what, when, where, and why of Brave Umbrella
- Week 4: Finish step #3 to figure out brand identity and create Trello for media kit creation
- Week 5: Do media inventory and start media kit
- Week 6: Get half way done
- Week 7: First draft
- Week 8: Get feedback
- Week 9: Finalize Designs
- Week 10: Finalize format (Print?)
- Finals: Submit
Strategies:
My strategies include talking to people and also learning through example as to how to accomplish my goals. Additionally, I want to learn from videos so that I can drive my own learning personally.
Evaluation:
At the end of this I would like something to be able to present to my partners and I would like to be able to replicate the techniques I’ve learned in various ways. As a intangible point of evaluation, I want to feel confident in my abilities to use design programs to communicate.
