Dreamer Admissions
Applying to the UO as a Dreamer (undocumented or DACA-mented student):
Step 1: Select a major/program that interests you.
Step 2: Check to make sure you meet all admissions requirements:
Step 3: Choose your application:
- The directions below are for the Oregon application, which may be easiest for UO Dreamer students. All first year students can choose to apply through either the Oregon application, the Common application or the Coalition application.
- Check the admissions deadline which varies depending on term, program, and whether you are a first-year, transfer, or graduate student as listed in the links above.
- Complete a student application, select “non-US Citzen” for citizenship status.
- After you submit the admissions application, reach out to one of the admissions counselors listed below, and request that your application be changed from International to Domestic.
- Enter (999-99-9999) in the Social Security Number (SSN) section to complete the application (unless you have an assigned SSN through DACA).
Step 4 (Optional): Apply to be considered for an application fee waiver. Once your application has been changed from international to domestic, please email your fee waiver form to one of the admissions counselors listed below if you meet the criteria.
Step 5: Review the tuition equity requirements to determine your eligibility and, if eligible, complete a tuition equity request form.
Tuition equity allows eligible students to pay in-state tuition rates at Oregon public universities.
Tuition Equity requirements include:
- Attended an elementary or secondary/high school in the U.S. for at least five years;
- Studied at an OR school for at least the three years prior to earning your high school diploma or GED;
- Graduated from an OR high school or received a GED in OR; and
- Show intention to become a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
