Post-Grad Checklist

What are your plans after graduation?  Whether it is going to graduate school, medical school, law school, and/or the workforce it is important to start planning early.  Here are some ideas to consider when planning your future goals:

Graduate School

Research universities that offer the academic area you want to pursue

Research professors who have similar academic interests as you

Research admission requirements; ask about fee waiver requirements

Research examination requirements such as  Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT)

Research funding opportunities such as awards, merit-based funding, assistantships, fellowships, scholarships, and jobs

Develop relationships with your academic advisors and professors

Have at least 3 references/ letters of recommendation by the time you graduate

Be involved in extracurricular activities

Develop relationships with your academic advisors and professors

Have at least 3 references/ letters of recommendation by the time you graduate

Speak with professors, academic advisors, and career counselors about job opportunities in your field
