7/20/2017: Re-introduction of DREAM Act in Congress
The DREAM Act was introduced in the 115th Congress today by US Senators Graham (R-SC) and Durbin (D-Il). The measure would offer legal status to so-called DREAMers if they can meet a range of educational and security requirements. Article at McClatchy News Services.
6/15/17: DACA/DAPA
- The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will remain in effect. However, the DAPA program (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents) remains void per a new memo signed yesterday by DHS Sec. Kelly, Meaning, parents may begin being deported.
