Web 2.0 Apps Abstract

Students pick a Web 2.0 app that they use, and/or one they are interested in knowing more about, to write a brief abstract about its features, application, and value. This will be presented like a product review, approximately a page in length, and submitted as a PDF. These will be shared on my instructional blog. Web 2.0 apps include Diigo, Skype, Prezi, Evernote, Flickr, hulu, digg, weebly, Linkedin, and many more.

Learn more about Issuu

I have used Issuu for the last few years and I have enjoyed its usage as a digital publishing platform. This platforms allows you to track numerous items including profile views, impressions, bookmarks, subscriptions, subscribers and geolocation information. I have used it with my developement of Santa Fe Creative Tourism to embed fliers, mailers, and other physical content on the website at santafecreativetourism.org. My profile on Issuu (http://issuu.com/santafecreativetourism) has contributed to 211,184 impressions since September 29, 2009 and has lead to many referrals to the Santa Fe Creative Tourism Website. Its main purpose has allowed me easy access to professionally looking and easily  shareable content that would otherwise be sent by postage, in this format individuals to the website can print out the information directly or view it an easy to read platform.
