This is my 2-4 minute movie about myself. I had all of my roommates narrate a short sentence about myself with accompanying photos. As you will hear, most of my difficulties in putting this together came from sound. I could not figure out how to change individual sound samples, and part of my problem was that Windows Movie Maker is a faulty program with too little options for what I needed to do. I worried about the theme of this project and didn’t actually know how my idea would turn out. I am pleased with the results with the exception of the low volume in some places. I think my mom will love it.

Working on this midterm video was much more challenging than the 30 second video. For me I think the biggest challenge was coming up with a cohesive and coherent theme. There was also the issue of having video footage to use. Luckily I was able to take some with my iPhone, but that’s the only video camera I have. I used archives.org to find video to add, though, and that worked well and was fun to search through.

I made this video using iMovie, Garageband, and Photoshop. The song clip I chose is called “Beyond it” by the band Golden Birthday, from Chicago.
I had trouble with the requirement of the video being self-representative in some way. I’d much rather play around with these programs using a topic unrelated to me and my life. However, once I came up with the idea to base my video on my assortment of low-quality tattoos, I got pretty into it. This video took me a good full day of obsessively working. I used a mix of clips I created in Photoshop, photographs I had on my computer, and a short video clip.
