However, I think one more layer of information could be added to these diagram to see a broader impact on the organism. The diagrams on the right might be able to zoom in more after first establishing the region in which you are studying. Could the diagrams showing seasonal changes as well as number of crabs be translated to the same diagram? Showing what proportion of those numbers comes from what season, and then expressing the depth in which they are caught?
How could the malting process be abstracted a bit further?
