Hi Camille,
The series of circles diagrams looks really nice – the unit and variation are clear, the line weights look good, and the color scheme is easy to read. The water temperature diagram is also fairly clear, although I would appreciate more coordination between it and the life cycle diagram – same colors and line weights, same life cycle phases, etc. I’m not sure what the images at the bottom are supposed to show.
The top diagram, Environmental Effects, makes me think that the poster did not go through enough editing as a group. The graphic styles among the diagrams are generally not as well matched as I would like to see, but this one seems especially out of place. Watch your line weights and colors, do not use a drop shadow, make sure your fonts match. In addition, the circle diagram/ pie chart seems to make more moves than the layers of information it shows. What is the color variation responding to? What about the inner vs. outer ring? Environmental effects on what aspect of pacific salmon, exactly, and what are the different sized wedges showing? Why is there clip art next to “littering?” Please be consistent and rational in what you are showing, and use image trace rather than pulling in raster art. On the right-hand side of the diagram, it is unclear what the arrows are indicating – it looks like causality, except for “longer winter” leading to “longer summer.” Please use lighter line weights, and again, do not use clip art.
In the future, please coordinate more carefully within your group. Also, please have a rough draft by Thursday, so I can review the whole project and provide meaningful feedback before you turn it in.
