From Object to Field 

Geometric vs. Algebraic Combination 

There is a geometric system of proportion that serves as a unifying strategy to brings elements as a whole, such as: axiality, symmetry or formal sequence. All elements are uniques as an individual, but they also have a great relationship with its surrounding elements. Together, all elements working together to create a better experience. Elements together can create patterns and sometimes it can express a sense of hierarchy.

Walking out of Cubism

The interpretation of minimalist artwork I got from the article is how the viewer sees and experiences the space around them are the form and architecture that is being created. Being able to forget about the figurative or decorative work, and focus on the simplifier form of the elements. Objects and elements are able to deployed and leads to its flow.

Thick 2D

The positive and negative space is the figure and ground. If we switch the idea from thinking of a figure is standing on the field to it merge from the field, it can create more effect and movement to the field and figures can be more closely allied. 

Flocks, school, Swarms, Crowds

Architect study the environment and the behavior of the flocks. There is some simple common behavior that flocks flows: maintain a small distance and moves towards the center. A crowd can be predictable and follow a certain pattern, but it also can be liberating and confining. There are elements hard to control, but the object and space can shape how the crowd thinks psychologically. 

Distributed Institutions

We associate some features and structures with a certain type of purpose and function that we are familiar with, such as a library. However, with the improvement of our society, the expectation can be a shift and new adaption and change need to make accordingly. To shape and create the best experience for people.
