ATTN: OCS 2020 Cancellation
Dear Friends,
We’ve been watching closely at the spread of the Corona Virus in the US during past few weeks and its implication to our 2020 Oregon Clarinet Symposium. Yesterday, the University of Oregon administration sent out a notice that we are putting a moratorium on all events involving more than 50 people and moving all in-person instruction online until mid-April. This will effectively preclude weeks of necessary preparation for the symposium, and there is still a good deal of uncertainty whether the event could be held at all only few days after the restriction is lifted.
Therefore, with sadness, we decided to cancel this year’s event. Thank you so much for your willingness to participate, sponsor, and support the symposium. It is a great honor to know you all, and I hope we could collaborate again soon.
Best,
Wonkak KIm
Artistic Director / Oregon Clarinet Symposium
