The project started form the Urban Scale, following the Green Loop Development, the project grow in phases.

The first phase is the Industrial Maker’s Plaza (IMP), with the District Hall and Maker’s Market. The project takes you from the Urban design point of view to the pedestrian experience through the site.

Comments:

  •  Working on the idea of bio-mimicry–Mold, and how it impacts the design from the Urban point of view all the way to pedestrian level.
  • How do you improve way finding by providing landmarks?
  • Develop diagrams to show how the whole project is effected by the concept of Mold growth.
  • Retail needs view.
  • How does Back of House support programs that need direct access from it.
  • What is the experience going through the interior of the building?

0229 Pinup comment update:

  • 3D spatial relationship, how does the building sit on the site or float on the site?
  • How much can we preserve the land? Can we create another eco system underneath the land?
  • How can we make the landscape into a more natural representation since it is so close to nature? How can I bring more elements into the landscape, allowing more dynamic experiences?
  • How does the building support different age group of user? How does pedestrian feel during rainy day.
  • Study how the rain water is collected through the site and how I can use it as part of the water element on landscape?
  • What is the spatial relationship within the building?
  • How do people feel about the building when they approach?
  • How does the building massing compare to the surrounding structure, like Tilikum Crossing, OMSI, and Opera House. Is it too big? Is it too small?
  • How does the building material works among the urban development? What material represents the site?
