Temple University- Assistant Professor Applications

Temple school of media and comm bannerThe Department of Media Studies and Production at Temple University is looking for applicants for a tenure track assistant professor position in emergent media. They require that the applicant’s research focus on emergent media, big data and society, interaction design, locative media, mapping, platform studies, gaming studies, mobile media, virtual/augmented reality, disability studies in information communication technology, or any other relative field.

Candidates must have a PhD in hand by August 2016 in communication or a related media and technology studies discipline. “An active program of scholarship and publication is essential. Areas of research are open, but the applicant’s research agenda should complement the department’s existing approaches to media, technology, and production.” Desirable applicants include those who will work well in multicultural communities and be able to teach national and international students and the undergraduate and graduate levels along with having demonstrated evidence of pursuing and securing externally funded grants.
