This is Clarissa Rizal’s artwork, Tlingit World Series #352, that graces the cover of the newest University of Oregon Anthropological Paper, The Archaeology of Coffman Cove, 5500 Years of Settlement in the Heart of Southeast Alaska, by Madonna L. Moss, Justin M. Hays, Peter M. Bowers, and Douglas Reger. It describes our investigations at an important archaeological site that’s been known for almost 50 years, but has suffered the ravages of modern development. The monograph can be ordered through the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History, see UO Anthropological Papers.
