The Nunalleq Project, led by Rick Knecht and Charlotta Hillerdal, is the subject of a new PBS video released on Indie Alaska yesterday (Sept. 17, 2015). It shows the waters of Kuskokwim Bay of the Bering Sea, the site, some amazing perishables being excavated, as well as a nice interview with Rick Knecht (University of Aberdeen) and Warren Jones (Qanirtuuq Village Corporation). You can check it out below. And if you’re interested in more about the mussels from the site, please see my August 12, 2015 post at http://nunalleq.wordpress.com (The Mysterious Mussels at Nunalleq.)
