The Athens Humanities program and summer workshops (Art, Poetry, and Greek Language) will be suspended for spring quarter 2017 and the 2017-18 academic year.
GEO and the Athens Centre staff remain committed to running high-quality academic study abroad programs in Athens, and plan to take this time to develop new curriculum to take advantage of this excellent site.
The suspension of Humanities in Athens will not affect the scheduled summer 2017 Greek Food and Culture in Athens faculty-led program, or the Art and Artifact: Intermedia Art in Athens program scheduled for summer 2018.
The Athens Centre will also continue to be used for faculty-led programming in the future as interest arises, including during the academic year. For more information on developing a program in Athens, contact Michael Price at michaelp@uoregon.edu.
