Call for Applicants: ELAN Public Relations Representative

At this time, ELAN is seeking a first-year AAD student to serve as our Public Relations Representative for the 2011/2012 academic year. Our Executive Team, which is comprised currently of 5 elected second-year AAD students, annually selects a first-year student to serve on the Executive Team in order to represent the first-year voices and cultivate leadership across our entire department. This is a great opportunity to become involved not only on a local level with AAD and the Eugene arts community but on a national level through the Americans for the Arts Emerging Leaders Program. By serving as the Public Relations Representative, you will have the opportunity to cultivate skills in communications, marketing, and general networking in the arts community.

CALL FOR APPLICANTS: ELAN PUBLIC RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE

The Public Relations Representative oversees the communications for and promotion of ELAN events, including, but not limited to, drafting press releases, cultivating marketing and PR partnerships, updating social media outlets with event information, and creating other collateral/advertising materials as needed.

As part of the ELAN Executive Team, the Public Relations Representative will be required to attend all ELAN meetings, aid in the planning and execution of all ELAN events, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the ELAN Representative.

The PR Representative in an integral position for the promotion and vitality of ELAN in the community. This position is for an individual who is self-motivated, project and deadline oriented, and works well in a collaborative environment. No specific experience in PR/Marketing/Communications is required, but is desirable.
