Begin: Monday, August 11, 2025, at 6:00 am
End: Monday, August 11, 2025, at 8:00 am
Building(s) or Area(s) Affected: Knight Law Center, Museum of Natural Cultural History, Many Nations Longhouse, Vivian Olum Childcare Center
Scope: To complete prior electrical infrastructure work in the area, a short building outage is required to make the necessary final connections.
Services Impacted: As before, all building power will be unavailable during this outage. Accordingly, please make sure to take all necessary preparations such as unplugging computers/printers, making sure refrigerated/frozen items are accommodated for, how to enter building(s) while card readers are offline, etc. It is recommended to coordinate with your facility manager(s) to ensure all your needs will be accounted for during this time.
Special Instructions: If you have concerns about accessing your workplace when elevator services are impacted, please contact your supervisor to find an appropriate accommodation.
Additional Instructions: Please shut down and unplug all multi-function copier devices as well as any printers during scheduled power outages. The software on these machines can be negatively affected due to the power surge when the power is turned back on. A power surge can corrupt the clone files in the machines and change preconfigured settings. For questions, please contact Kati Kronholm at 541-346-5370 or katik@uoregon.edu. For non-copier questions, please reach out to the contact person listed below.
