The final fire alarm testing has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 7th.
An update will be sent with the date has been determined for the final inspection by the Fire Marshall.
UPDATE 10/01/25:
The final fire alarm inspection by the Fire Marshall will occur on Friday, October 3rd, at 6:00 am.

Final Inspection: Friday, October 3, 2025, at 6:00 am TBD
Building(s) or Area(s) Affected: 1776 Millrace
Scope: For the 1776 Millrace renovation project, IES will be onsite to perform fire alarm testing for the building. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Services Impacted:
- Initial testing: The alarm will sound for approximately 5–10 minutes at the start of testing.
- Additional testing: Intermittent alarms may occur throughout the two-hour period.
Details: Horns, Strobes, and Speakers on the fire alarm system will not sound after the scheduled time. Provisions have been taken to monitor the building fire systems during this time and alarms that occur after the scheduled time should be considered real events and occupants should evacuate as usual per the U of O Emergency Procedures.
